Collision is best experienced through both our mobile and web apps. All you’ll need to join Collision is a smartphone, a desktop computer or laptop, and an internet connection. We recommend using Google Chrome as your web browser.
Our mobile app is your event companion, helping you to navigate the schedule and discover the people and companies you’ll want to meet.
Our web app is the best way to experience our content, offering you access to 100+ hours of talks, masterclasses and more from more than 400 speakers, and allowing you to meet and connect with other attendees.

You’ll find more information on how to onboard on the mobile app on this video:
In the words of Forbes, Collision is “North America’s fast-growing tech conference”. Why? Because it allows attendees to network their way.
Our web and mobile apps are your key to meeting and connecting with people worldwide. During talks, you can scan the audience for people you want to meet and view their attendee profiles. From there, it’s simple to message anyone privately and plan meetings using your personal calendar, and contact companies or speakers for a video chat.
Your event profile is also crucial to networking with the right people. It’s what powers Mingle, which allows you to video chat in three-minute sessions with attendees paired with you based on your shared interests or industry background.
Starting a chat with another attendee is simple. When you have found someone you’d like to connect with, click the chat icon next to the attendee’s profile picture.
You can also start a new chat through the bottom row of icons in our mobile app or via the icon in the top right-hand corner of the web app. Click the icon and then click the plus symbol to search for attendees.
You’ll be granted access to our web app when Collision kicks off on April 20. Watch out for an email from us with a link to log in to the web app.
You can create a meeting with any Collision attendee or company using our event apps.
First, click on the individual you would like to meet. On their profile page you will have the option to request a meeting. Enter the date and time you would like to connect, fill out a name and description for the meeting, and you are ready to go! The person will receive a meeting request immediately.
You will be notified on the app once the attendee responds to your invitation.
Mingle is an opportunity for you to connect with the right people, based on the locations, interests and industry backgrounds shared on your event profile. Our software will match you with people we think you should meet, network with, teach, or learn from.
From there, you engage with attendees in three-minute time-boxed video calls. These quick interactions should get you talking about things you have in common (such as a recent talk you both attended). After the end of your call, you can view your conversation partner’s profile information and connect with them further, online or off.
Collision is all about meaningful connections; that’s why we don’t leave meeting the right people to chance.
Explore is the part of the event apps where you’ll find recommendations to help you connect with others at Collision. You can discover our attendees, startups and partners, and find relevant people and companies we think you should meet.
On Explore, you can visit attendee or company profiles to connect, chat or request a meeting.
Breakout is a collection of video chat rooms within our event platform suggested to attendees based on their interests. They allow discussions to flow in smaller groups.
Join a breakout room to meet with world-leading companies, take part in masterclasses or speaker Q&As, or create your own room for group conversations. They are a great way to meet other attendees and companies, and join conversations about topics relevant to you.
You can find Collision’s schedule on the bottom row of icons in our mobile app or in our web app.
You can build a personal event schedule for each day of Collision. Access to this custom planner is via the schedule icon in the mobile or web app.
Search for talks and masterclasses that catch your eye, and ensure you don’t miss any of the action with ‘live now’ notifications detailing what’s streaming at any moment.
Our content covers more than 30 topics related to all areas touched by tech, including marketing and media, software, business development, smart cities and the future of sports.
Our event software recommends talks based on your interests, and you can also search and filter to find the content that appeals to you the most.
Once you find a talk that interests you, add a reminder to your personal calendar by clicking the calendar icon next to the session you want to attend. All of your events are stored on your personal calendar, which you can edit at any time.
Collision will take place in Toronto time (GMT-4). Content, including talks and masterclasses, will run from 10am to 5pm (3pm to 10pm GMT) each day.
The web and mobile apps will automatically display talk and event times in your local time.
You can connect with attendees using your computer or mobile device anywhere in the world. Networking – including chat, Mingle and Breakout features – will be available 24 hours a day.
