Collision from Home has mobile and web apps. We recommend attendees use both to make the most of their event experience. The web app should be used for watching or listening to content, while we recommend using the mobile app for networking and connecting with fellow attendees.

How do I network at Collision from Home?

In the words of Inc. Magazine, “Collision does a superb job of building community through networking”. How? By allowing attendees to network their way.

Our web and mobile apps are your key to meeting and connecting with people from all over the world. During talks, you can scan the audience for people you want to meet and view their attendee profiles. From there, it’s simple to message anyone of interest privately and plan meetings (using your personal calendar), and contact companies or speakers for a video chat.

How do I start a chat?

Starting a chat with another attendee is simple. When you have found someone you’d like to connect with, click the chat icon next to the attendee’s profile picture.

You can also start a new chat through the bottom row of icons in our mobile app, or via the icon in the top right-hand corner of the web app. Click the icon and then click the plus symbol to search for attendees.

How do I schedule a meeting / demo?

You can create a meeting with any attendee or company at Collision from Home using the web and mobile apps.

First, click on the individual you would like to meet. On their profile page you will have the option to request a meeting. Enter the date and time you would like to connect, fill out a name and description for the meeting, and you are ready to go! The person will then immediately receive a meeting request.

You will be notified once the attendee responds to your invitation.

How does the Mingle function work?

Mingle is an opportunity for you to connect with the right people, based on the locations, interests and backgrounds shared on your event profile. Our software will match you with people we think you should meet, network with, teach or learn from.

From there, you engage with attendees in three-minute time-boxed video calls. These quick interactions should get you talking about things you have in common (such as a recent workshop you both attended). After the end of your call, you can view your conversation partner’s profile information and connect with them further, online or off.

Collision from Home is all about meaningful connections – that’s why we don’t leave meeting the right people to chance.

How do Breakout sessions work?

Breakout is a collection of video chat rooms suggested to attendees based on their interests. They allow the conversation to keep flowing in smaller groups.

Join a breakout room to meet with world-leading companies and take part in workshops or speaker Q&As, or create your own room for group conversations.

Joining a breakout room is a great way to meet other attendees and companies, and join conversations about topics that are relevant to you.

What is a partner room?
  • Any breakout room that you create will be listed under ‘Partner Rooms’, making it easier for our attendees to find them.
  • In order to have your breakout room feature among the partner rooms, one of your featured attendees must create the room.
  • You also have the option to attach your room to your company profile.
  • The url link to your room can be shared through the chat.
